Kim Jensen in Utah has been tying a pattern similar to that for a few years. I think he used Larva Lace for the body. Looks good!

I just got Ducky's crawdad's in the mail today for the largemouth bass fly swap I'm hosting. These flys are 10 times sweeter in person.

 

Ducky- you could very easily modify this to be a wiggler pattern wink.gif

I tie them on size 12 and 14 mustad 37160's. Sorry Skunked, been tying flies for a long time but dont really know a lot of the terms and usually just make stuff I like without following patterns. Whats a wiggler? dunno.gif

They're a hexagenia limbata nymph. Wigglers are what you call the live bait version. They work great for trout, panfish, walleye, and just abou everything in between
