And as always, great ties from everyone else. Seeing all the different flies posted here is a treat. 11 hours ago, McFlyLures said: I forgot the name of this Again, nice clean tie McFly. I had to go to one size larger hook(Kona BGH, #6). The smallies thrash quite a bit and they were getting unbuttoned. I have some grey and silver ones I can't wait to fish for wiper with. They key in on the shad at times. Kimo

You don't have to hate it. I'm not pushing a case either way. I like them all. The differences, to me, are subtle but that's what fly tiers do, talk about subtle differences. I like to explore all possibilities. I'll fish them all this summer and I am sure that other variables like bad casting, water conditions, delivery, time of day and other things will make a bigger difference than the feathers. I think that confidence in a fly has more to do with it success than any other factor. YMMV, I fish for stupid fish (that sounds very unkind to them) in very low pressure fisheries (they won't care what fly I use). Fishers in high pressure areas would probably have different results. I sometimes use gray poly dubbing for Adams. I decided to go classic on these. I see just a little bit of green in one of them that must have been picked up from my FT desk. That one will probably be the killer fly.
