Mark Knapp 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2020 I won't pretend to speak for Scott, I think the flies sometimes are not meant to imitate anything in particular, just something that might be tasty to a fish.

Definitely. Maybe a reaction strike. Can't say how many times fish have hit my indicator. Mark Knapp 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2020 Starting to play with deer hair poppers. This one is tied for big pike, not according to any particular recipe. Just for practice. On a size 9/0 Owner hook, overall it's 8 inches long. The barred chickabou feathers on the side are supposed to flutter like legs when stripped, that's the idea anyway. mikechell 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2020 I think I'd call that a Mardi Gras Mouse, Mark! Looks killer, and I think you're a natural for deer hair work.
