TSMcDougald 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2020 I bought a copy back in November, 2019, for $57.95. I had thought about waiting to see if the price would come down - glad I didn't!

Other than that you are 100% correct, sir Ditto Just goes to show nothing new under the Sun. I've run into younger tyers who didn't even know that this book existed. I've also found that people don't buy as many books because they figure they can find it on the web. Data suggest that learning online drops by as much as 30%. Depending on the learning style. Anyone know if the (new) book has anything at all to say about non-natural fibers, possibly including foam? Being an older book, I wouldn't expect it to unless someone updated it; I am just curious. I may ask for the book from Santa.... : )

Or, like me, they don't buy it because I'll never tie that many different flies or use most of those techniques. LOTS of tiers out there who, like me, only tie what they need for fishing. People like me will never use 90% of the information in a book like that, so it is definitely not worth the money for us.
