What should I tie

Recommended Posts

I recently bought some tinsel and chenille and so far have blue pearl and copper tinsel as well as tan and brown chenille. What are some fairly easy flies I could tie with these? I have a ton of other material so feel free to branch out a bit.

Tie a brown spratley - gunea fowl tail, copper rib, brown chenele body, gunea fowl throat,  pheasant rump feather for the wing all on a 3xl hook I like #8.  I tie them with black body, and green body and I don't see why this combo would not work - especially in lakes.

Rainbow warriors if you have pearl tinsel or any color will work for midge larvae patterns

Try variations of the James Woods Bucktail pattern - I've tied about 20 different patterns using this as a starting base.  If you need some recipes feel free to PM me.
