Miniature Articulated Sculpin

I was inspired by Kimo and decided to order some mini-articulated spines. This guy is all pheasant rump and pheasant maribou.

Based on Polly Rosborough's Casual Dress.  Form an unidentified pelt, middle fly used dubbing loop, some with ribbing (gold tinsel or copper wire), ostrich herl head.

Thanks Old Hat.  Yes the hooks are very cool !  Nice looking fly and I bet it catches. The 16 looked small to me but then again with ever passing year all the hooks seem to be growing smaller.

Tail – Brown antron yarn

Ribbing – Olive wire

Body - Tying thread

Wing case – Tan foam

Legs – Brown antron yarn (extension of the tail and pulled back for legs)

Thorax - Brown synthetic dubbing
