McFlyLures 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2020 Some flies I tied for someone recently. I really tried to make this ep fly translucent and sparsely tied.

Capt Bob LeMay 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2020 That EP fly, the first one shown, is very well done... Most do them with too much material and then are disappointed at the response from the fish... I was in small snook today for about an hour and a half, catching and releasing everyone (quit counting after dozen of the hungry little guys..). That fly would have been just the ticket... So flies like the Everglades special and ep minnows and such. That’s a nice one you got there also man! Nice little baitfish fly. Love it!

fshng2 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2020 McFly thanks for the info. The Congo hair streamer looks very nice. I like it's sparseness and will have to try one to see how it swims.

It should swim like any fly tied with ep.
Capt Bob LeMay 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2020 Fish any one of those minnow patterns in my area - and you'll wonder why you spent so much time tying it... The fish are that hungry when you find them in a group... and small snook in particular are hard on flies...
