When driving in the car with my daughters I get the "NO Dad!" when I slow down as I'm approaching a dead animal in the road. NIce fly, BTW

Moshup 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2020 Been nursing 3 broken ribs and it’s torture to sit at the tying desk right now. Here’s a “March Brown”I tied over last winter.

Moshup 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2020 Riding my bike Chugster on a familiar route as I have done 100’s of times and my front tire had a flat and wedged into my front brake pads and threw me over the bars and into the road. Knocked me out and I had my first ride in an ambulance and a 2 day hospital stay. Ribs hurt so much I wanted to stay longer believe it or not. Thanks for asking. Here’s a “March Brown”I tied over last winter. Oh the "joy" of broken ribs- I never knew how much a sneeze could hurt until I broke mine. Also stay away from anyone who can make you laugh out loud. I hope you can get back to the bench soon! The March Brown is still one of my favorites to tie and fish, both winged wets and soft hackles and all the variants. In these parts they can be counted on to produce strikes from March through November.

Sandan 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2020 A little Bugs and Bourbon yesterday evening. By little I mean size 22s. Charlie Craven's soft hackle emerger (again) and Barr's emerger (BWO). I have high hopes for them on the Eagle River this Sunday.
Sandan 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2020 17 hours ago, Mogup said: Lol. Fire away Sandan as I’m just having a little fun. The hackle is actually guard hairs from a dead possum that’s been in the backyard most of the summer. I did a split thread dub and wrapped it at the head. It’s a little odorous and I’ve been wondering if that will be a plus in the fish catching department. I was just riffing on Mark's "do's and dont's", got no criticism. Interesting collar. The "scent" might be the missing link between an artificial and a natural fly/lure/bait. Good luck!
