imaxfli78 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2020 The upper half of reel seat section of my 2 piece St, Croix LEGEND 4/5 turned from its shiney black to a matt grey......it was wrapped in a cloth in an aluminum tube for about a decade. mikemac1 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2020 Probably some moisture in the cloth or on the rod when put away. Doesn’t take much over a decade to creep under the rod coating, especially if the tube was airtight and there was any significant fluctuations in storage temperature.
