Johnw1986 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2020 Does anyone tie and sell the classic wetfly salmon and steelhead flies? If so how much?
Mark Knapp 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2020 What do you think Norm, want to sell him some? We'll leave this here for just a little while so people get a chance to see it and then we'll move it to the "Buy, sell, trade" area. Norm (flytire) makes classic salmon and steel head flies and for a while (I think) he was selling them, but those are a little different than the classic Atlantic Salmon Flies from the Old Country. You can see some of them here. http://www.flytyingforum.com/index.php?/forum/94-artistic-classic-salmon-flies/
Johnw1986 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2020 I tie hairwing flies myself, it’s the feather wing that gets too expensive and out of my league

cphubert 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2020 Bryant Freeman Eskape Anglers Riverview New Brunswick Canada http://www.eskapeanglers.com/ ties and sells classic salmon flies, you could drop Gary Tanner a line his blog is The River's Course http://theriverscourse.blogspot.com/ he mounts frames and ties and could steer you in a good direction if one of our members can't help you. They both do wonderful work, I would not feel comfortable selling anything classic, only hairwing and featherwing fishing quality flies.

flykid 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2020 Are you looking for classic, full dress type salmon flies a la Green Highlander, Jock Scott etc. for fishing? Or are you looking for display stuff? It's been a while, but I've sold display flies in the past and once made classic salmon fly boutonnieres for a guy's wedding. Could also tie some on eyed hooks with more generic materials more suited to the use and budget of fishing. I don't have an abundance of extra time on my hands but depending on what you're looking for may be able to help you out. Feel free to PM if you're interested.
