I bet ole mr smallmouth would find this one pretty hard to pass up

I was thinking the same.  I'll probably give it a go with redfish as well.  Something nice and light to plop in front of skittish reds in shallow ponds.

I'll tie a few up and see how they like them this coming spring/summer.  good to have a few in case I find some carp feeding as well. thanks for posting it

All great stuff, but I like this one in particular. What do you use it for? Looks like it would be a good floater and a nice attractor for brook trout.

I think everyone knows the dressing.  The body which is muskrat came from a Great Horned Owl pellet.

@Pbass   Nice.  Good job on the wings.  It’s not an easy dry fly with the hackle point wings and the pairing of

two hackles.  Do you have a small hair stacker ?   You’ll find that your tailing will be much more even using one.

With the dubbing less is more .  Easier to add bulk than to take it away.  I’m running low on my regurgitated muskrat

or I’d send you some.

@Moshup Thanks.  No I don't have a small hair stacker.  I am going to put part of an empty pen shaft inside my stacker and see if that works for a small stacker until I get one on order. I did not stack the hair at all. I have a hard time controlling the amount of dubbing still. But I will keep trying to get it smaller. I am going to keep tying these for a couple days and try to improve my skills. The picture was the second one I tied.

I don't think I have the stomach for regurgitated muskrat! That is a special kind of dedication!  LOL!

Thanks for your help. I do appreciate it!
