niveker 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2020 2 hours ago, Moshup said: @niveker do you have a good source for snowshoe hare ! Haven’t tied with it much but I want to include it in a few flies. Moshup, I happened to be driving through Orange the other day, so I stopped in at Flaggs Fly & Tackle, you may know it. I enjoy talking to Rodney Flagg and stop in there whenever I'm in the area and have the time. Nice guy, . He's an old school fly fisherman, good stories, been around forever. Has the shop out of his garage, sits there at his desk all day tying up flies. Its gonna be a sad day when I drive by and the shop is closed. He doesn't have a big selection of tying material any more, but his conversation is worth it. He had a few feet, so I picked them up, and a few other things. Not bad for $4/pr. He says he gets them from a buddy up north. Normally I would get them from a reputable online fly shop, though.

jamieofthenorth 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2020 These work so well in my area and one can't have enough of them. I thought I would throw in a wider shot of my fly tying area. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but it is so relaxing to sit here and tie while having music or a movie that I have seen a thousand times going in the background. Zen.
