The Shadow, a very cool Danish seatrout fly; here’s a nice video.  I tip-tied the collar feather on mine because the stem was pretty thick and stiff at the base; I’ve seen them tied with a traditional hackle collar but the fluff looked so wild I had to go with this version.

hook - WFC Model 6 #6
thread - Danville 6/0 black
tail - calftail dyed red
body - Ice Dub Black
body hackle - brown
collar - grizzly hackle fluff dyed hot pink (1 Tbs Rit Fuchsia/4 cups water)

Good idea, but I don't get many at the feeder.

They love suet but I don’t see as many up here in New England as I did in NY.
