It is a very effective fly and catches a boat load of fish. Decided to try experimenting with CDC in place of duck quill. Yes, Rene has some incredibly beautiful and effective patterns! I also tied one cutting the tip off of the CDC puffs, but it just ended up looking like an RS2.
