another comparadun with legs

Nice, Sandan.  The more I think about adding legs like that, the Chugster was right on.  CDC makes alot of sense.

Another Betters' Usual, this time in 'Gray Dun'

Muchas Gracias to Sandan for sending this foot to me when my local shop had none in this color.

Well that is just a brilliant looking abdomen!  Well done.  Is that just like you'd make a para-cord bracelet?

CDC Short Wing Emergers

I really like fishing Rene Harrop's short wing emerger at the beginning of a hatch.  It is a very effective fly and catches a boat load of fish.  Decided to try experimenting with CDC in place of duck quill.

Thank you! It is the exact same way youd make one of them. I use the cross stitching cord for these. Very cheap, myriad of colors, and a nice result.

@Toothy Rene Harrop knows his sh!p. I really like those. Me, I'd cut the butts off the puffs.

Thanks! Yes, Rene has some incredibly beautiful and effective patterns! I also tied one cutting the tip off of the CDC puffs, but it just ended up looking like an RS2.  I actually kind of like how leaving the tips makes them look like unfurling wings.
