You may have Fishing Bob text or call me if you have a tier emergency. I only need a day to get them out. Can I put you on speed dial???? I'm still digging through my stuff. WWKimba 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2021 My ties are in the mail tomorrow. The return postage will come in a separate cover. WWKimba 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2021 Fly patterns: Chile Pepper Hook - 4 -5 XL streamer (original calls for ring eye), size 4 Thread - Fl. Fire Orange (can substitute Fl. Red) Tail/Body - yellow Golden Pheasant (GP) rump feathers - 1 for the tail and 3 matched pairs for the body Head - red Golden Pheasant shoulder/covert feathers - 1 matched pair This is tied as a New Zealand Killer-style pattern. Best fished late summer/fall as an immature carp. ---------------- Golden P Blond Hook - 3 XL streamer hook, size 8 Thread - red Tail - yellow GP rump feather Body - red wool yarn with red tinsel Wing - yellow GP rump feather under a GP crest feather This is my version of a Brooks Blond-style pattern using the red/yellow Mickey Finn color combo. This pattern was originally tied in Chile (hence the "e" and not an "i" in it's name) as a salt water/striped bass pattern and has inspired such patterns as the Clouser Minnow, Lefty's Deceiver, and the Surf Candy. --------------- Hen Ringneck Pheasant Bugger Hook - 4 XL streamer hook, size 6 Thread - tan Tail - marabou feather from the rump of the hen peasant Flash - 3 strands of black Flash-a-bou (#6912) tied in after the first body feather wrap AND 4 strands of gold Flash-a-bou (#6992) at the mid-point of the hook shank Body - striped feathers from the flank of the hen pheasant Another of my interpretations inspired by McFlyLures Brahma Bugger pattern. Besides I figured since this swap is being held in March (Women's History Month) we needed at least a female touch! Kim
