jamieofthenorth 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2021 Rusty Spinner Hook: TMC 101, size 12 Tail: White microfibbets Body: Mahogony goose biot Hackle: Badger Wings: White antron yarn Notes: Thank you @SBPatt for suggesting this Craven pattern. Opted for a dubbing ball to split the microfibbets, just find that easier and I like the look. Fun to tie. Bring on those spring/summer evenings! Toothy 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2021 Mixed Color CDC & Biot Baetis Emerger Perhaps not the prettiest but definitely one of the fishiest patterns I fish. I am not sure exactly why it fishes so well, I tell myself that the CDC creates movement, no matter the reason it simply works. mikemac1 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2021 Coincidentally with the video post on tying a Stimulator, I had been tying a few myself. Went down to West on Thursday and picked up a nice Collins neck and saddle and wanted to try it out on a few flies. These are tied with deer hair tails and wings. The bodies and thorax are Chicone fettuccini foam. Soak these in Rain-X and they will float all day.
