These are "free' materials and DO NOT count a one of your materials used to tie. Feel free to include them in your pattern. I know that for you this makes this swap TOO easy! Dubs 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2021 Is UV resin an ingredient if it is used to do more than secure the thread or materials where head cement, clear nail polish, or super glue could otherwise be used? My thought was that a UV resin "poxyback" wing case would count as an ingredient but not sure.
fishingbobnelson 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2021 I don't think it should. It is just securing/strengthening the material. The same thing it does to the head.
flytire 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2021 i dont think any of us are going to examine each and every fly to see if everybody used only 2 materials use it if you got it

This is a FUN swap not a strict RULES swap! I want people to use their imagination and have some FUN! Kim BTW, when I used to teach instructors how to teach I taught - "TELL your students what you are going to tell them, TELL them, then TELL them you told them! So this is a FUN swap. jburge 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2021 My pattern is going to be Frank Sawyer's Killer Bug. And no, I don't have the original and authentic Chadwick's 477 yarn (uh, currently $207 for a single card! on ebay). However, I'll be using Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift in Oyster, which looks pretty good.
