Is UV resin an ingredient if it is used to do more than secure the thread or materials where head cement, clear nail polish, or super glue could otherwise be used?  My thought was that a UV resin "poxyback" wing case would count as an ingredient but not sure.

I don't think it should. It is just securing/strengthening the material.  The same thing it does to the head.

ANY head cement material can be used as a freebee - even if your aim is off!   

This is a FUN swap not a strict RULES swap!  I want people to use their imagination and have some FUN!

My pattern is going to be Frank Sawyer's Killer Bug. And no, I don't have the original and authentic Chadwick's 477 yarn (uh, currently $207 for a single card! on ebay). However, I'll be using Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift in Oyster, which looks pretty good.
