Donuts anyone? lol

Weather is finally nice today so got the custom 1/5 scale out for a run. Gotta love how much dust this big ol' 50lb truck kicks up. I looked like I had walked a mile through the desert by the time I got done running it
Think I finally have just about all the little bugs worked out now. Got about a dozen runs on it since finishing the build late winter and been chasing down little bugs here & there every run. The other day I addressed a pinion that kept coming lose by shimming the motor .030 to make sure it was parallel to the spur gear. And also has issues with cvd pins coming loose (even with loc tight) so covered the hub of the cvd's with 1/2' of heat shrink and that seems to have fixed that problem.
Had a full run this afternoon with no broken or loose parts....as Martha Stewart would say...That's a good thing!

Grounds keeper's gotta love you !!!  😄

Loved that hairpin turn at 1:40!  Nice control ... it's like you've done that before.

Just short little vid of getting one of my 1/10 scale trucks out and dirty today. I felt bad for letting these 1/10 & 1/8 scale ones sit on the shelf every since getting the giant 1/5 scale done a few months ago so had to get this one out and get a bit muddy for a few mins this afternoon.

Does this reflect how he used to drive in his younger years?🤔

Now you need to get another handler, set up a course and run your trucks against each other. Is there anywhere they do scale truck racing in groups? RC planes have their clubs and competition and years ago I used to do a lot of slot car racing. That was a whole lot more fun then GTA the kids do on their cell phones or video games.
