I would also suggest following a known fly pattern so you have something to compare your fly to when you are done. I don't really recognize what you are trying to tie or the purpose of those white tags at the back of the fly. What are they supposed to represent?

I am not sure of what you mean by a winged pattern.

Some nymphs have a wing pad over the thorax. Some caddis pupa flies have antennae.

Do you have an example you can post?

Not really just going with a Generic pattern

Here’s another Generic Pattern I tyed the other night. Mostly for practice but I will fish it who knows.

Working on tying some crab patterns for my trip to Florida in a few weeks...these hooks are sharp! 😬 Also playing around with something for bass on some local creeks. Not sure how the fish like them because lost both my prototypes to logs within 10 minutes of being on the water yesterday 😒.

Nice Fly’s hope you have fun on your trip take care of that cut hate to see you out there fishing with one finger gone.
