Another Tying Material Alternative.

Recommended Posts

Our grand kids killed yet another inflatable pool float this weekend.   Thin, stretchy and this one happened to have a range of nice colors.

Tell the truth!  Did you use an air gun?

Honestly there's no need- these things last about a week with 6 grand kids and their friends jumping on them.

Pet groomers are good for dubbing.  I used black fur from my son's Lab.

Our daughter has a golden and his undercoat is wonderful for dubbing.  I make sure he get a brushing whenever we have him overnight.   I caught quite a few Brookies on soft hackles with golden bodies.

The dogs shed good when giving a bath. Hogan, the Lab, was black and would leave enough fur in the tub to make a Chihuahua!

Another alternative material.  This one came imported from Chili.  First the flies I used the material on.  The material.  For those of you who don't do the grocery shopping, this is the bag my Oranges came in.

Great idea- Seriously a lot of fun can be had in this hobby simply by finding tying materials from outside a fly shop.
