Moshup 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2021 You are referring to a Ringneck?
niveker 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2021 Thanks Moshup. 32 minutes ago, Moshup said: Doesn’t look like pheasant neck though. You are correct, it's a ringneck breast feather, the smaller ones are higher up, closer to the neck.

Moshup 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2021 @niveker Good job on the hackle wrap. That feather can be kind of “wanky”.

Mill Creek Minnow 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2021 On 9/1/2021 at 2:27 AM, flytire said: how about some new blood start posting some flies instead of the same 6-8 tyers that post here I answered your call.... I guess that the flies I posted didn't quite stack up. Mayhap that is the reason "new blood" tyers don't feel comfortable posting here. I do miss SBPatt's fantastic ties and more importantly the way he provides SBS posts for the "new blood". (Westfly connection) Beyond that... neat little club the 6-8 of you have here.... Scott, I would love to connect with you again. I always had a ton of respect for you and learned a great deal from your posts over all of these years. I'm not sure how messaging works here but you can reach me at [email protected]. Peace

Mayhap that is the reason "new blood" tyers don't feel comfortable posting here. Not really sure what you mean. I made a comment on your posted flies that went unanswered. Nearly all the flies posted here include a recipe, and I think nearly all who post flies here, regularly or sporadically, are more than willing to answer questions about any technique used, if asked. Nearly never is a negative comment made on a tyers posts to make them feel unwelcome. Is it the lack of commenting that you're referring to?

utyer 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2021 MillCreek, you have already gotten the ONLY answer you need from the Sea Run Cuts. I agree with niveker, that your patterns do have a lot of movement. What others say here matters very little. What the fish say is the important thing.
