September Flies From the Vise

Hook - Mustad 9671, 9672 or equivalent, size 8

Thread - Black

Body - Red wire

Thorax - Green floss

Wing - Wood duck

Hackle - Grizzly

Tying note - Body and thorax can both be tied with wire, floss, tinsel etc

Wing can also be tied flat over the body and thorax

Impeccable tie, as usual, @flytire.  I did a couple of these in nymph form a few weeks ago, but have yet to get them wet.

thread - Uni 8/0 brown
rib - Small wire gold
body - dubbing tan
body hackle - grizzly dyed March brown 
1st shoulder - golden pheasant red body feather 
2nd shoulder - sharptail grouse dyed golden olive (4 Tsp Rit Golden Yellow, 1/2Tsp Rit Camel/4 cups water)
head/collar - pronghorn dyed golden brown (1 Tbs Rit Golden Yellow, 1/4 Tsp Rit Cocoa Brown/1 cup water)
