flykid 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2021 In an effort to contribute some more content to this section of the forum that used to be bustling "back in the day" I'm going to post some of my more recent work, though even these are months old due to no time to tie because of trying to buy/sell houses and move. I have Bob Frandsen's book on Blacker flies and started working my way through some of the patterns. These flies are elegant in their own way but are much more of a "working fly" than the more elaborate, artsy, refined stuff you find in Traherne's book. This is a fly developed for the River Bann in Ireland, one of a series. I think I've made it to no. 4 so far. They are small, relatively simple flies. I needed to get back to working on my skills after a bit of a hiatus from the Classic flies. Here it is for your enjoyment, discussion etc.
