eaglecreekcustom 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2021 I am getting started fly fishing in Oregon and wondering if you know any hatches? If you do, what is the date. Thank you
Jaydub 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2021 Can you be more specific? There are lots of hatches that vary by time of year and location. Hear are some hatch charts that may be helpful: Westfly hatch charts
chugbug27 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2021 Dave Hughes has some good hatch-related instructional style books focussed on the west coast. Pocket guide to Western Hatches is good, but there are others. His home waters are in Oregon. There's also a neat book by Ted Leeson (an Oregon transplant) called Habit of Rivers that takes you through a year of fly fishing the different waters, hatches, and runs in Oregon -- not so much detailed instructional as experiential, if that makes sense. Both really good writers in different ways.
