However, I do the version that's in his book, Tactical Fly Fishing, which has pink ice dub collar and red wire as the rib (and I think red thread on the front(?) - I'm at work, writing about fly-tying). And I use Baetis colored CDC. I have no idea if these things matter, but for me, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Will try to leave a photo when I get home.
