SalarMan 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2021 While trying to figure out what to do next I was perusing Mike Radencich's book of salmon fly patterns and this one caught my eye. Never tied it before so I thought I'd give it a go. Only mildly content with this one. After preening I will make a final decision on whether or not to keep it. Until then...here it is for what it's worth.
Sandan 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2021 Looks worth it to me George. But, to each his own.
flykid 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2021 Thanks for sharing, George! I haven't tied this one before either. I do like the low wing profile. We definitely don't win them all, but I'm sure you still at least got something out of the process even if not fully satisfied.
SalarMan 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2021 My pleasure flykid. You're right, we always get something out of every tie. I have a Popham in the works at the moment. We'll see how that goes.
flykid 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2021 Looking forward to seeing it! The Popham is very tricky and I think I've only tied it once. But, it is one of my favorite patterns so I will stay tuned!
