screamin demon 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 Hey all I have been tying for a few years and know the in's and outs around the steelie patterns. I could use some help tying patterns for open lake water for bass, pike, walleye, pan fish etc. I bought a boat and I intend to fly fish from it. Anyone know of a good book that I can get a hold of that can help me out????
chucky 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2005 I would start with a Clouser....any color as long as it's chartreuse... The fluff butt is good for panfish If it's warmwater, I would highly recommend Tom Nixon's book. Fly Tying and Fly Fishing for Bass and Panfish.
