Sorry I am so late in posting this but when I first created this fly I didn't know how well it would produce, it has totally been unreal. For the dubbing I cut the hair off the rabbit skin and use that. I have found the dubbing off the shelf is just to short. Angora does work but it has to be 1-1.5 inches long, llama makes a nice substitute but you still have to cut it to the above length. I have tried mohair, angora, llama and just about every other type of dubbing and found that rabbit is the best to work with. I do blend all my colors to make colors, in other words my brown has no brown in it at all but a mixture of colors to make brown, it is similar to the Canadian brown mohair. I also add a holographic flash to my dubbing blends which adds just the right amount of flash to attract the fish's eye. If you have any further questions I would be happy to answer them.
