First Car

Had two of these. Both in poo brown. They had dodgy tan interiors. My mates brought me a rug and glued a tobacco pipe to the rear parcel shelf as they nicknamed it the "old man's car" Bumped the first one so brought a second cheap, and then replaced the panels and seats on second from the first. Everything was just hex bolts. Wouldn't be allowed to build cars like that now. Got to 70mph and made you think it would shake apart but those cars drove me up and down the country and down bumpy fishing tracks without a hickup.

Still jealous of you guys and your muscle motors though.

1952 Merc 4 door. Most grey ugly, 6 cyl. Auto Trans (forgot what Mercury called it). Only muscle cars then were basically hot rods or souped up t-bird engines. My 2nd was the most memorable -- '57 Chevy.

1979 Dodge Omni 024, exactly like this one. 4-speed manual, plaid cloth seats (yikes). Had it about a year, sold it to buy a '66 Mustang. omni 024.jpg

Mine was almost identical to yours. It was an '84 Dodge Charger. Thing was a dog but it did the job for a while.

Mine was close to this nice ... in 1977. Had it about 2 months before it got side swiped in the school parking lot.

I consider my second car "my first car", since I had it for many years.

1969 Camaro RS just like this one.

Mine was a 1990 Ford escort from an old lady across the street. Not as nice as this one. It was my first and only car. It's been all F150's since.

It had the awesome automatic seatbelts that traveled along the top of the door. The ones that would nearly wrap around your neck if you tried to open the door to grab something too quickly. The plastic rear bumper got brittle in the Florida sun, and my foot went right through one day while sitting on the back. It got me where I needed to go though.
