Off the bench this morning is this very clean looking 10' 3wt euro rod. The new owner wanted a very clean look and he likes the look of Winston rods so we went with a dark green wrap without trim bands which gives it a very crisp clean look.

Another great looking grip.  Are you doing those yourself, Steve?  Great combos, if you are.

Do you even have to ask? lol ohmy.png laugh.png  I do everything on my rods, except for some wood reel seat inserts. Don't have a lathe that can handle hardwood so those I farm out, but everything else is me.

Ah ... I knew it was something you had made for you.  I also knew you made grips.  What I couldn't remember, was if you made ALL of the grips you put on your fly rods.

Well, again, the grips you've been doing lately are truly great looking combinations of materials.

Yep I make them all. I haven't bought a preformed grip in probably 15 yrs now. To me the grip is the focal point of a rod so I like to make them a bit special looking.
