Shaq 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2006 thanks guys, It was fun making it... Jens, The steelhead are in the system right now to feed on eggs and salmon flesh ect. They will either winter over in the river or head to the lake (our sea is the great lakes) and then return to the river to spawn in the spring. Swarner III 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2006 Some do die, but I think it's mostly the males because they try to mate with as many females as possible and don't they have much left when they are done. All scarred up with fungus on them and such. The females do their thing and once they deposit all their eggs in a few different redds there isn't much they can do so they head back out to the lake.
