MDM - Marcy Dam Mayhem. Found this one on thenorthriver.blogspot.com A few mods to the original - subbed calftail for the wing (so maybe it should be the MDM Calftail?) and hackle fibers for the throat; weight is optional.

hook - Mustad 9671 #8

thread - Danville 6/0 black

tail - golden pheasant tippet

rib - small wire gold

body - Uni-Stretch orange

shellback(?) - peacock herl

throat - hen hackle hot orange

wing - calftail white

mash barb, start thread, wrap to bend

tie in some peacock herl at the head; pull to the rear, capture tips with wire and continue ribbing forward; helicopter end/cover with thread, trim peacock tips

(tying in the peacock before the body and pulling it forward before ribbing works, too; I just prefer how it looks tied this way)
