vicente 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2019 The guy posting the pictures in Siberia has shown some very similar flys, different material though.
The Mad Duck 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2019 I love using this material. I have tied some interesting looking Mop Flies with tied in as a collar. It lays on the hook pretty well, but, I have found that if you wet it down a little, it lays even better.
whatfly 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2019 Used for the British "Blob" patterns. Allegedly quite effective. Several varieties of fritz out there and like estaz, I imagine one is probably just as good as the other.
vicrider 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2019 We had a "Blob" fly trade on here once. Got some material and tied up a bunch. Never fished one yet. I'll tell you when I wished I'd had some of them. Fishing steelhead in fast dirty water up north. Those would have made great eggs and colors would have really stood out. Supposed to be the things for stocked trout and may yet have a chance to use them some time. Have a bunch in a box now that have never been wet.
