Guest Report post Posted November 23, 2003 I have a question that runs the risk of sounding dumb but here it goes anyway. What exactly keeps this fly on top of the water? I have always wondered how patterns such as these stay bouyant. I understand how flies that use such things as deer hair stay bouyant, but with this type of pattern I am somewhat puzzled. Hey it never hurts to ask
