Johnw1986 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2019 Anyone know of a good banana spider pattern or have they ever tried to imitate one? Any pictures or ideas would be great! This would be a killer fly for black water redbreast
utyer 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2019 I would think that any spider pattern would work, redbreasts don't seem to be all that picky. In North America, the Banana Spider is one of the many Orb-weaver spiders. These usually have a narrower body, with long slender legs. They are often some shade of yellow on top and the undersides have darker markings. Some are striped both on top and below. Here are a couple: nothing fancy, a yellow foam strip for the body and yellow rubber or silicon legs. Markers provide the coloring. I am sure any similar color scheme would work as well.
