I found this pattern in a book on smallmouth fishing by Harry Muarry. Used with great effect throughout Pennsylvannia on trout and steelhead. Great fly!!!

This is a very nice fly.

I am taking a vacation to hunt grouse, woodcock and to fly fish at Rangeley this fall ( 3rd week October). I would like to know about the waters available to me and what flies to use. I know the spillway of Upper Dam is open. I would also like to now about any fly shops and eatery's in the area. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ron

I think this is a very nice fly. Have you had a chance to fish it yet? If so how did you do. I am tying some up for central and southwestern PA waters. Ron
