  1. I used materials on hand to tie these....... In the hopes that the fish think it's one of these that were coming off the water last weekend.
  2. Had a couple of these scuds in the box and was killing 'em with it last weekend. On the last day I broke the rod down and took the reel off and left one scud on the bumper, it wasn't there when I got home I have reinforcements now
  3. Tied a few of these last night. First time using round rubber (tail and antenna material) even with a thread base on the hook it sure does like to slide around
  4. Not a fan of brown at all but for some reason, this rod is a beauty....very nice. Is this a specialty euro nymph build? Glenn
  5. Discovered the "wonder wing" while watching a youtube video and had to try it. The darker one is grouse, the lighter on is wood duck. I like 'em and will have to tie a bunch to keep on hand. Thanks for looking. Glenn
  6. Nice mix of ties so far this month, well done gentlemen. Got to relax at the bench today myself after a loooong week of work and tied some midges. Thanks for looking.
  7. Nice score, love to hear about sources for alternate tying materials. While it wasn't a bargain for me (retail price) I picked up a small hank of knitting yarn that I thought would make good bodies for nymphs and tied these. With this:
  8. A few more before the month is over. Wanted to try a new material so I bought some grizzly marabou and tied it on these sz10 weighted nymphs.
  9. Thanks Powershooter, nice to meet you.
  10. Saw reference to this fly on a few forums yesterday and had to tie it. While it's listed as an easy tie, for a beginner it's good practice in that you need to select 2 of the same sized feathers from 2 different capes and you have to be careful when you palmer it and whip finish so you don't mash down the barbules.
  11. Got some Whiting capes in the mail today and got right down to tying these dry flies, thanks for looking.
  12. You guys sure tie some really nice flies I did some more practicing of dry style flies with materials on hand. Grizzly hackle fiber tail, orange superfine dubbing and black hackle on sz14.
