CDC Caddis a Goddard Variant

Recommended Posts

Goddard version of caddis tied with CDC. Why CDC? because on the slow and very slow running rivers works better than other material. At least for me:)

I tie this fly down to size #20 , not possible with deer hair.

So here it is:

the step by step is here on my blog:)

Thanks for watching,

Lucian

Thanks,

In fact this sedge is probably the most easy to tie dry Sedge. What you have to do is to twist the CDC barbs on the hook shank and to trim to shape. It is so simple but so effective on medium and slow waters. I had days and evenings on rivers from Slovenia when other flies was useless. And this model was the most effective by far.
