The usual starting place if you want to get into realistic tying is Oliver Edward's Flytiers Masterclass. You will find some of his videos are available on You Tube.

You might be able to find a DVD or book, but there are more good SBSs on this site than you could fit in either of the aforementioned media.

 

Although I am a fan of sci-fi books (paper) ... for any kind of reference material, I use the internet.
