Nice video and good looking fly. I think I would prefer to do a split thread dubbing body as opposed to the dubbing loop.

So far ... I've had NO luck getting a split thread dubbing to work right.  I'm with Lucas on a loop.

Really nice tie !

 

The loop is fine on that size fly imo. It obviously turned out well and a loop is easy.

I know the split thread technique, but I have never used it, if I have to tie a very small fly, I simply use fine thread...
With such a big fly like the CDC Brown Sedge, the Uni 8/0 works really well and the result is great...
