Dang islander, don't let them do that. Haha.  We don't have to worry about mangroves here. The only obstacles here at the spillway is one dock and idiots casting over your line.  That's why every trip this year was after 11:00 pm..by then, most people have left.

Me and dad took a early trip out on lake o this morning, and was back at the house by 11. Its been a couple months since we fished the main lake. This was the big one of the morning. I was hooked up to another one on a topwater plug that could have been a personal best...and I have a 10-6 on the wall.

I threw the fly rod some, and would switch back and forth until the wind picked up around 9. Had a blast, and I think dad might be back out later this week trying to get my big one that got away.  And to think, he almost didn't want to go today.

Thanks guys. Sure wish I'd a landed the one I lost. Could have been bigger than this one. Since he got away we'll just say it was. 😊

Catching some nice bass down there, Caloosa !!!

So far, not getting any hits from them up here.

But I am not "chasing" them, either.

Caloosa I'm severly offended by your post! If you make a topic for it then it's OK? BS !!!!

No problem Caloosa just calling out one of the lil clickes around here. I think that was a great catch anyway you look at it!

Found the only pic I have of my personal best largemouth today. It's not in very good shape, but I can go look at this beauty anytime I want. She's hanging out in the spare bedroom right now.
