Took my first shot at my vise yesterday.  Tied an estaz, caddis, and wooly bugger.  I know they need work but I felt pretty good about the wooly bugger, even if it took me about 20 minutes to complete it LOL.  Even my oldest daughter was excited about it.

It's early in the game but I think I'm addicted  ......

I love the photo with your daughter.  You better save that one for the scrapbook.

Nice first tries. Know that flies do not have to be beautiful to catch fish. Go out if you can, catch one on these and THEN you will be addicted.

Sometimes, when it is real quiet on the water, I can almost hear the fish laughing...

Can't complain about those for a first attempt. Keep at it. Love the pic with your daughter.

Thanks everyone!  Lots of video watching on youtube helps a ton!  Dubbing was giving me fits at first, figured out I was using way too much.

Welcome, thanks for posting fly pics... hopefully, some fish photos to follow later

Comedian Steven Wright once said: "There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the SHORE like an idiot." Perhaps Steven failed to notice the float tubes, canoes, jonboats, catarafts, porta-botes, kayaks, '65 Alumacraft classics, G3 deep V's, and that was just ME.
