I think you should get a Rapala Jigging Rap. It Is an imitation of a dying Baitfish. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=rapala+jig+rap+underwater&&view=detail&mid=3D2AD7B212C881A017983D2AD7B212C881A01798&&FORM=VRDGAR

Blasphemy !!!!  dry.png

Kidding, actually.  I think those lures are cool ... just nowhere to use them in my area.

Yes, I have many Jigging Raps and they work very well in other area lakes but not for lake trout in this lake. This lake calls for a very specific bait fish imitation.

Yeah, the Jigging Rap was developed especially for ice fishing, you would have trouble finding a place to go ice fishing near your house.

Man I wish I could go fishing with you. I probably would learn a lot, mainly because of the fact It took me a whole season so far to get 3 grayling. And I have never caught a lake trout, pike, burbot, whitefish, or sheefish.

No Valdez trips this fall. I have two eight day trips to Sitka planned for fly fishing in the salt. One in Sept, and one in Oct.

I don't have any plans to, I have some work to do on the boat first.

Cool, I will be posting a lot of new stuff soon. My trip to Africa, ice fishing for pike, fly fishing for pike and fly fishing in the salt for halibut, ling cod and rock fish.
