Those are beautifully ugly little bugs. Fishable, you say? Almost too pretty for that, unless you've an easy way to tie them.

Hi,

@ mikechell: thank you. They are very easy to tie. It's just thread, thin creamy Latex, a little bit of Dubbing and Gold Pheasant Fibres... :-)

@ Prybis: also thank you for your Statement. :-)

Hi,

@ artimus: thank you very much :-)

@ mikechell: here comes a little description...

Hook: TMC 400 T or similar, #14-16
Thread: Roman Moser Power Silk, dark yellow or brown
Tails & Antenna: Golden Pheasant
Lead: adhesive lead foil
Abdomen: Power Silk, dark yellow or brown, getting thicker from tail to point where the thorax starts. Then colour it with a dark, waterproof pen. Now wind a fine, creamy Latex Strip around, starting from the end of the Abdomen until the point where the thorax begins. After that turn the Fly around and let very liquid clear varnish soack in. This makes the fine creamy Latex become translucent and you can see the coloration but it cannot washed away that easy when the Fly is in water

Wing Cases & Head : Fine creamy Latex Strips. (After you completed the 2 Wingcases and the Head Section do the same as for the Abdomen with the varnish)
Legs: Golden Pheasant
Thorax: Antron Dub, dark yellow or brown, coloured on top with a dark waterproof pen

additionally you can lacquer the whole upper side with varnish

Those do look great.

When you say "creamy" latex, are you referring to a specific type of latex or is "creamy" just the color?

Hey Dave,

thank you very much. Creamy just means the Color :-)
