  1. Here is another SBS submission for free flybox. The Port Green This is a variation on the classic midge. The green wire really gets the trouts attention when the sunlight hits it. I couldn't get the pictures to capture the ture reflective qualities of the green colors of this fly. Materials List: - size 14-20 nymph hood with curved eye - appropriate size black tungsten bead - black thread - small green ultra wire - peacock hurl Steps 1. Put bead on hook and start thread. 2. Attach Green ultra wire at rear of the hook 3. Wrap the Green Ultra Wire in tight wraps to the bead. Tie off wire 4. Attach peacock hurl behind hook and make 3 wraps to form a collar. Tie off 5. Whip finish and add head cement - fly complete

I mainly use it as streamer or sculpin imitation to catch rainbow trout and brown trout, but I have even tied it in burnt-orange and fished it along the bottom to resemble a crawfish for smallmouth. Materials List Size 8-12 straight eye hook (tail) Size 8-12 curved eye hook (body) Tungsten cone bead Danville 140 olive thread Small golden olive Ultra Wire Olive Sparkle Braid Small olive pine squirrel Olive Marabou 10 pound fluorocarbon Steps 1. Start the thread on the straight eye hook and attach the Ultra Wire. This hook will act as the tail. 2. Attach the Sparkle Braid 3. Wrap the Sparkle Braid to the eye of the hook 4. Tie the in pine squirrel behind the eye of the hook and wrap the Ultra wire in between the fur to secure the squirrel strip to the hook. 5. Secure the wire and whip finish. 6. Secure the curved eye hook with the tungsten cone head into the vise. Start your thread 7. Thread the fluorocarbon through the eye of the "tail" that was just completed. Tie the fluorocarbon onto the top and bottom of the hook in the vise. Secure. 8. Tie in a small piece of marabou at the back of the hook in the vise to hide the fluorocarbon. 9. Tie in the Ultra Wire at the rear of the hook 10. Tie in the Sparkle braid at the rear of the hook advance thread to behind the cone head. 11. Wrap Sparkle braid up to bead and secure 11. Attach pine squirrel and wrap Ultra wire 3-4 wraps to secure the fur strip. 12. Secure Ultra wire behind cone head. 13. Tie in another strip of Pine Squirrel fur strip 14. Wrap the fur strip directly behind cone head to form a collar. Secure 15. Whip Finish Fly Finished Fly
