Guest Report post Posted November 23, 2003 I just received in my first shipment of Larva Lace today and decided to do some searching for some patterns and ran across the "PM Caddis". Fly Mart in MI had this to say about the "PM Caddis". QUOTE Possibly the most effective steelhead nymph ever, the PM Caddis is an easy to tie imitation of the Rhyacophila caddis larvae that get dislodged from the gravel when steelhead are spawning I found the pattern in many other places and they all seemed to be tied differently including some with a black head and some with a cream colored head Anyway this is the outcome of my first experiece with Larva Lace and I must say that I really love the stuff! Guest Report post Posted November 23, 2003 Great looking caddis Will. I have had good results with my patterns tied with Larva lace. It gives the bodies of the flies a beautiful segmented look I have caught many steelhead and trout with flies that have larva Lace incorporated in the pattern
