i tie my favorite fly(a clouser) on mustad 3366 or similar hooks, sizes 6,8, 10. i use a few wraps of lead wire, white plastic bead chain eyes, white bucktail on bottom, grey squirrel on top, whatever thread is handy and i always tie in a tail of RED Cascade Crst poly flash, about 2 shanks lengths at the end of the hook. my very most favoriote fly to throw. catches 'gills, bass. i only use red poly flash 'cause it works so well.

i sent him a check on 3-1-2018. 7 days later i have 4 great looking capes((no saddles): grizzly , lt. ginger, coachman, and barred ginger. i didn't request anything, just quite willing to take what he sent. i am very happy with the deal.

i have some thread i would like to get an ID for. seems to be silk. color codes are : gy2-053 149263 , gycg #279 gps-fr279 , gy2-029 150800060 , gycg #249 , gycg #154 , gy2-142 , gy2-053 149263, gycg #173, gycg #044 gpm-fr044, gycg #437, gycg #437, gycg #160, gycg #192 GPB-FR192. the kicker is that they are not on round spools. they are on flat, clear, plastic forms, about 68mm x 62 mm x 2mm. uncertain of maker, denier/strength, length. i'm fishing here! i'm thinking they may have been purposed for industrial uses. couldn't pass them up at a buck for a small paper bag full! i think i'm set for a long time.
