There will be 20 posts the one with the most points will win absolutly nothing well besides the fact they can correctly identify more bugs than the other fly fishermen here. Hints - The flies are native to the North East (PA). Fly #3 ---------- Current standings JasonN - 10 ---------- Name this fly: Time - May 25th Length - 16mm Description - This fly ranges from ginger to dark brown with the bands on the abdomen and legs shifting between ginger to dark brown at the segments. The two tails of this fly are a dark brown. Their wings have a light yellow or ginger base marked by darker brown spots, almost lines, and veins. This fly is usually found emerging in pools and eddies of fast water. Can you name this fly? ---------- Correct Anwser - March Brown, Stenonema vicarium. Guest Report post Posted December 3, 2004 I'll take a stab at Stenonema Fuscum or the Gray Fox/Ginger Quill. I thought of the vicarium but it is slightly smaller and emerges earlier.
