akubicka 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2018 I am looking for a US source for a wrap material used to tie the Tiger Ghost salmon fly. I found it at a Canadian company, but they said it wasnt available in my region. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Annie

cphubert 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2018 My pattern shows; Tag : fine silver oval tinsel, florescent green floss, florescent orange floss Body: Gudebrod butt wrap thread (black&white) Rib: med oval silver tinsel Wing: yellow white & black bucktail in that order Cheeks: silver pheasant As tied by Charlie Maul for the Matane River (Gaspe) 1980 This may be a variant as the original was tied with a artic fox wing, collar style hackle and jungle cock. Have seen polar bear, black bear wing. Additionally have seen the silver pheasant wound in a collar vs cheeks with or w/o jungle cock any combinations of all. But always the rod building thread body. Mudhole has Prowrap tiger thread about 6.00 a spool. black and white and a few other colors or e-bay.
