Ok theres has been some interest in a trout Dry fly swap

Lets see if I can get 12 swappers signed up.

the first 12 to respond to this post with "I'm in"

will be entered in this swap.

All Dry flies size #12-20 tied on standard dry fly or light wire hooks

barbed or barbless (target speciesTrout)

Before joining Fly swap read Rules any questions should be directed to the swapmister.

1.Flies will be tied according to the specific rules of the swap.

(Dry fly, Wet fly, Nymph, streamer, Etc.)

2. (Toe tag flies) each fly will need to have a small piece of paper attached to the bend of the hook with the swappers name on it. (This makes it easy for swapmister to divide up prier to being sent back)

3. Flies will be mailed in a crushproof box. Antoids cans are perfect (Please no expensive Trout fly cases)

4. Box will be sent to swapmister (with a stamped self-addressed envelope)

(Do not put postage money in envelope)

5. Flies will be mailed on or before deadline date.

Let’s set the date at march 1st of this year and see if we can get 12 swappers

And I will host if that’s alright with everyone?

Hope you all join

OSD.

I'd like to be in but I don't tie my dries on standard dry fly hooks.

what kind of hook do you tie on?

Is a light wire hook that won't sink after is tied

if so I think I can allow it.

I use light wire hooks of varying descriptions. I'm considering three possible patterns and I'd use a light wire shrimp/caddis pupa hook to tie them.

How do we know we're getting / tying different flies? This would be my first swap, still uncertain about how it all happens and helps. I assume that I tie 12 of the same pattern then later receive eleven different flies tied by others? - Adam

I'm sure you hook will be fine

I just didn't want anybody trying to tie dry flies on heavy bait hooks or something.

You can tell us what your tying at this time or just before you start to tie them that way no one will duplicate your pattern

(besides I don't think any two tiers tie exactly the same)

Thanks

OSD.
